This was posted on a mailing list that I'm on. Looks like this could be a very good resource for learning and practicing your Japanese!
Hello,
My former professor suggested that I mention http://www.renshuu.org here.
http://www.renshuu.org is a free Japanese study site that was originally made for Duke university and has been running for several years. It offers personalized and dynamic quizzing for several textbooks (Genki I/II, IJ, JFBP), the JLPT, the Kanji Kentei, with plans to include addition textbooks (Tobira, Nakama, Yookoso) in the near future.
It has a wide-range of quizzing methods for both kanji characters and vocabulary; personal schedules exist to help students focus their study efforts on their weakest materials.
The site also has a grammar library with around 350 grammar expressions, hundreds of model sentences, and areas for students to practice using the grammar and give/receive feedback from others.
I'm trying to spread it around so others can hopefully take advantage of it and get more out of their studying. I'm also interested in any teachers that would like to help expand the grammar materials on the site (here's an example of a fully-written page: http://www.renshuu.org/index.
Anyhow, thanks for reading, and I hope you'll check it out. You can contact me at michael.hominick@renshuu.org if you have any questions, comments, idea, complaints - I'm interested in anything you have to say.
