I looked up the word highlighter in Japanese online and this is what it gave me: けいこうペん。
Is this correct?

another word!
I looked up explosive diarrhea online and got this: ばくはつてきなげり。
Is that correct?

What an interesting combination of words. For homework, I'm going to make you make example sentences using this combination... (^o^)
Yep, highlighter is 蛍光(けいこう)ペン . 蛍光 alone means "fluorescent".
爆発的(ばくはつてき)な下痢(げり) is a direct translation of E.D., but it isn't commonly used. In more natural Japanese, you would probably just say すごいゲリ or something similar.(すごい = "amazing", "unbelievable", etc.)
